What do you need, Frank? I have a good supply of top sets that will easily build any size guitar you might have in mind. Also, if you are doing a small guitar (Parlor, etc)I have a "miscellaneous" stack of tops that are odd sized and sell for a lot less. The primo stuff usually goes in the $50 a set range. This is the same wood I supply to Geoger Lowden, James Goodall, LMI and a host of individual builders here and on other news groups. |

Just curious, Hank, is the redwood you have flamed or straight grained? |
Just curious, Hank, is the redwood you have flamed or straight grained?
I have only a handful of flamed sets that I would deem suitable for tops. All the rest is very tight, straight grained woods from old blown down trees. Here's a pic of the flamed stuff: ![]() |
